Agriculture Minister assures systems in place to tackle bush fires without helicopters

The Agriculture Minister says that despite the unavailability of air support to combat forest fires this dry season, the systems put in place worked.

The helicopters used to help put out fires in mountainous areas have been grounded since last year.

And while the ODPM is calling for that to be an option once again, the Agriculture Minister says in the interim the situation is manageable.
