A case for cannabis

Marijuana laws in the country may change as the joint select committee of parliament today looked into benefits of non-traditional medicines in treating non-communicable diseases.

While cannabis failed to be mentioned in any of the reports of those summoned before the committee, it certainly took centre stage in the discussion with researchers saying it’s not too late for T&T to establish its place as a leader in the marijuana business and at least one legislator advocating for the laws to be revised.
