More than 70 per cent of Petrotrin's permanent employees have accepted termination letters from the company.

The outstanding employees have been mailed their termination letters. Petrotrin hoped it would have distributed all letters yesterday.

The information comes on the same day an appeal court judge officially gave her reasons for granting a stay to Petrotrin which essentially allowed it to resume terminating workers.

Justice Charmaine Pemberton is questioning whether the industrial court engaged in a balancing act necessary to support its conclusions.
