Tracking Venezuelans entering T&T

A week before an amnesty is rolled out to allow Venezuelan migrants refuge in this country, a new wave is arriving at secluded locations across the southwestern peninsula.

Authorities have been on the ground since Wednesday trying to locate and process what could be hundreds of new arrivals coming by the boatloads and escaping law enforcement's radar.

Lead Investigative Editor Mark Bassant, cameraman Kevin Maharaj and photographer Abraham Diaz spent the night in areas like Erin and Palo Seco to get a better understanding of the illegal trade.
