22-year-old D'Abadie man appears in court for murder

A 22-year-old D’Abadie man has appeared in the Port of Spain 8th Magistrates’ Court, charged with the murder of Maurice Clifford.

Shaquille Castle, aka ‘Shaquille Augustus’, of Red Hill, D’Abadie, appeared before Chief Magistrate, Marcia Ayers-Caesar, today.

Clifford, 42, was shot and killed close to his home at Red Hill, D’Abadie, on Sunday 30th October, 2016.

The matter has been postponed to April 19th, 2017 and transferred to the Arima Magistrates’ Court.

Castle was charged by PC Lopez of the Northern Division, following advice given by Director of Public Prosecution, Roger Gaspard, SC, on Friday 7th April, 2017.
