Police have arrested the man who made deaths threats against Commissioner of Police Gary Griffith and his wife earlier this morning.
Acting on intelligence, police officers executed a warrant and arrested the 35-year-old suspect at his Gaparillo home around 4 pm today.
The phone used to issue the threat was seized and the suspect was taken to the Port of Spain, CID, where he is expected to be charged.
Around 1:30 this morning, a call was received at the Command Centre by an E999 operator.
The male caller made death threats against the CoP and his wife.
This is the second threat made to the CoP, two days apart.
Investigations are continuing
