3 overnight murders

The murder figure for the month of December has climbed to 21 following the killings of three people in separate incidents in the space of 24 hours.

In the latest incident, a forty-five-year-old woman was found with a gunshot wound at the back of her head at a house located along john peters road, Chaguanas around 6 am this morning.

 According to police, gunmen entered the home around 4 am, tied up the woman and her husband and subsequently shot her.

 A motive for the killing is yet to be established.

In the other incident, around 11 pm on Tuesday a passerby stumbled across the body of a man dressed in female clothes near Nelson Mandela Park.

 The man's body bore gunshot wounds. 

The victim has been identified as 28-year-old Keon Patterson.

And a man identified as Ganesh Samaroo is reported to have gotten into an altercation with a male relative at his home located at perseverance road, Couva.

 Samaroo was reportedly dealt several chops about the body. He was pronounced dead at the Couva district hospital.

 The incident occurred around 10 pm. 

Police are investigating.
