Army-issued ammunition found in Cunupia

A quantity of army issued ammunition was discovered by officers of the Stolen Vehicles Squad during an anti-crime exercise, in the Central division, yesterday.

Officers conducted the exercise between 8 am and 12:25 pm on Thursday 5th April, 2018, during which, based on information, they proceeded to an abandoned lot along Tamarind Drive, Jerningham Junction, Cunupia, where they found 60 rounds of 5.56mm ammunition and 50 rounds of 9mm ammunition, all bearing ‘TTR’ markings.

No one was arrested in connection with the find.

The exercise was coordinated by Snr. Supt. (Ag.) Ajith Persad and ASP (Ag.) Debra Corbett–Villaruel and supervised by Sgts. Bernard Dolloway and Christopher Swamber, of the Stolen Vehicles Squad.
