His body was discovered this afternoon but the tank is not yet fully drained to allow them to recover it.

Pierre had made his way onto the tank around 11 am Saturday morning threatening to kill himself by jumping off.

After nine hours of attempting to coax the man out of his intention, he disappeared from view leading authorities to believe that he opted to go inside of the tank instead.

The tank, located at Trinmar’s Tank Farm base, was filled with crude oil.

Pierre, who was homeless, stayed at an unoccupied HDC building in an area called ‘Construction’ off Reid Road, in Point Fortin.
