Police and security officers working together, resulted in two men being arrested for house-breaking and larceny.

The incident occurred around 8:30 am today.

Police say they received a report of a house-breaking in progress on Xeres Road, Carlsen Field following which officers of the Praedial Larceny Squad, Freeport police and Estate Police officers of Guardsman Security responded.

The officers cordoned off the area and entered the premises where they found two men - ages 18 and 28 - of Longdenville Chaguanas, attempting to exit the house through the back.

They were caught squeezing their way through burglar-proofing which they had earlier cut to gain entry.

Officers arrested the duo and confiscated an undisclosed sum of cash.

The men are to appear before a Chaguanas Magistrate today.
