Belmont man in court charged with 3 counts of sexually touching a child

A Belmont man is due to appear before the Port of Spain Magistrates’ Court today, after being charged with three counts of sexual touching of a child.

The 55-year-old orderly was arrested and charged on  April 1st following investigations into a report made against him to the Belmont Police Station on February 16th.

According to reports, the accused is said to have sexually touched a child who lived with him under the guardianship of his common-law wife on several occasions between March 2018 and February 2019. 

Investigations into the matter were supervised by Insp.

 Rayon Dickson of the Child Protection Unit (CPU), while charges were laid by WPC Rudder, of the CPU.
