The Airports Authority of Trinidad and Tobago (AATT) says it is making every effort to restore use of the washroom facilities at the Domestic Departure Lounge at the Piarco International Airport, after problems caused by people discarding blankets, cloths and other insoluble materials into the toilets.
The AATT says the toilets have become clogged and that the associated plumbing systems have malfunctioned.
"We are currently in the process of installing the relevant infrastructure which would reduce the negative effects of such action. We do sincerely regret the inconvenience caused to members of the public, but wish to advise that in the interim, customers can utilize the alternative washroom facilities adjoining the Domestic Departure Lounge and the Check-in/ Departures Concourse," the AATT said.
The Airports Authority says it is working quickly to restore the washroom facilities to full function and that the estimated date for completion of repair works is Monday May 28th, 2018.
