A truck transporting cases of bottled water has gotten into an accident along the Uriah Butler Highway, resulting in a massive traffic pile up.
CNC3 news understands the delivery truck was proceeding along the southbound lane of the highway when the driver lost control and crossed the median.
A PTSC bus which was travelling in the opposite direction was hit by the truck.
The incident which occurred shortly before 10 am in the vicinity of heartland plaza left cases of water scattered across the roadway.
Police, on arrival, blocked off part of the northbound lane of the highway to facilitate the clearing of the road.
We're told that accident has resulted in bumper to bumper traffic.
Motorists are being advised to seek alternative routes.
