Body with gunshot wound might be year's 6th murder

Police are investigating what could potentially be the country's 6th murder for the year after a body was found this morning in Central Trinidad.

Investigators told CNC3 they received a call and went to Mon Plasir Road in Cunupia close to 7am where the body of a man was found lying in a drain with what appeared to be gunshot wounds to his face.

The man yet to be identified is of African descent and is about five feet seven inches in height, slim build with a low haircut.

He was wearing a black three-quarter pants and a light-coloured t-shirt.

Police say they are combing their missing persons list.

Central Division detectives are investigating.
