The Chief Executive Officer of Caribbean Airlines Limited (CAL), Michael DiLollo has resigned from the airline with immediate effect.
CAL Chairman, Phillip Marshall made the announcement in a memo issued to staff members today, saying that the board of directors has accepted the resignation.
The memo announced tha Chief Financial Officer Tyrone Tang has been appointed Acting Chief Executive Officer while a search is conducted for a permanent replacement.
The announcement states that DiLollo resigned for personal reasons and says that the board has full confidence in the senior leadership team of the airline, to continue to implement the approved corporate strategy of the Company.
DiLollo, 48, was appointed in May 2014 following the sudden resignation of CEO Robert Corbie in September 2013.
