Caribbean Airlines still unable to fly into St Maarten

Thursday, September 28, 2017 - 12:15

Caribbean Airlines (CAL) says it is still unable to operate its scheduled services into St Maarten, as the Princess Juliana International Airport remains closed to commercial air traffic.

CAL says that customers with tickets for travel purchased before 05 September 2017 to/from St Maarten only are advised of the following:

 Customers entitled to a waiver of date change penalties for travel within one year of ticket validity from date of issue.
 Difference in fare or change of origin/destination cost to be borne by passenger.
 Full refunds for travel up to 31st October 2017 only.

CAL says requests for refunds must be made by 30 September 2017.

St Maarten's world-famous airport was destroyed by Hurricane Irma which devastated the island earlier this month.
