Cashier appears in court on 13 Counts of Larceny

Akeisha George a 26-year-old cashier employed at an Arima service station pleaded not guilty to thirteen counts of larceny servant amounting to $2,787.50. 

Ms. George a resident of Clarence Street, Valencia, was granted $15,000 bail with surety when she appeared before Arima Magistrate Alicia Chankar yesterday.

According to police reports, the offences are alleged to have occurred between February 3rd and August 25th, when proceeds from the sale of phone cards were found to be inconsistent with the gas station’s receipts, on thirteen occasions. 

The owner of the station made a report to the Arima Police Station on August 29th  which led to George’s arrest.

 PC Jodeci St. Clair, of the Arima Criminal Investigations Department, laid the charges. 

The matter has been postponed to Wednesday 3rd October 2018.
