Claxton Bay Man Held with Gun and Ammo

One man was arrested and a firearm and a quantity of ammunition seized by officers of the Central Division Task Force during an anticrime exercise conducted in the Claxton Bay district, this week.

During the exercise, which was conducted between Tuesday 3rd and Wednesday 4th December, several  search  warrants  were  executed  and  several drug blocks searched.

Police reports indicated that officers  observed  a  vehicle  parked  along Diamond  Road,  Diamond  Village,  Claxton  Bay,  with  a  lone  male occupant. 

A  search  of  the  vehicle  resulted  in  officers  finding  one Glock pistol  fitted  with an extended  magazine  and  loaded  with 11 rounds of ammunition.

The  driver,  a  28-year-old  Claxton  Bay  man  was  arrested  in connection with the find.

Investigations are ongoing.
