A concert showcasing Korean cultural arts took place at the Southern Academy for the Performing Arts under the theme Resonance of Korea.
At the event, the Korean Traditional Marching Band staged a memorable show for an appreciative audience at the Sundarlal Popo Bahora Theatre in San Fernando.
The performances included the Sangryrongsan for Piri Solo, Moon Gut & Binari, Dance of Joy, Samdo Suljanggu and Samdo Samulnori.
One of the highlights, the Modeum-Buk performance, saw a collaboration with the Skiffle Steel Orchestra.
This performance consisted of multiple drums.
Delivering greetings at the event, San Fernando mayor Junia Regrello said Trinidad should certainly learn from and emulate the Korean deals of national pride, hard work and the integration of modern technology into cultural life.
He was confident that through their friendship and partnership, both countries can learn from each other, using the arts and culture to open avenues of trade and other areas that would be mutually beneficial.
