Concert shows off Korean cultural arts

A con­cert show­cas­ing Ko­re­an cul­tur­al arts took place at the South­ern Acad­e­my for the Per­form­ing Arts un­der the theme Res­o­nance of Ko­rea.


At the event, the Ko­re­an Tra­di­tion­al March­ing Band staged a mem­o­rable show for an ap­pre­cia­tive au­di­ence at the Sun­dar­lal Popo Ba­ho­ra The­atre in San Fer­nan­do.

The per­for­mances in­clud­ed the San­gry­rongsan for Piri So­lo, Moon Gut & Bi­na­ri, Dance of Joy, Sam­do Sul­jang­gu and Sam­do Samul­nori.

One of the high­lights, the Modeum-Buk per­for­mance, saw a col­lab­o­ra­tion with the Skif­fle Steel Or­ches­tra.

This per­for­mance con­sist­ed of mul­ti­ple drums.

De­liv­er­ing greet­ings at the event, San Fer­nan­do may­or Ju­nia Re­grel­lo said Trinidad should cer­tain­ly learn from and em­u­late the Ko­re­an deals of na­tion­al pride, hard work and the in­te­gra­tion of mod­ern tech­nol­o­gy in­to cul­tur­al life.

He was con­fi­dent that through their friend­ship and part­ner­ship, both coun­tries can learn from each oth­er, us­ing the arts and cul­ture to open av­enues of trade and oth­er ar­eas that would be mu­tu­al­ly ben­e­fi­cial.
