CoP clears up erroneous claim

Commissioner of Police Gary Griffith says that during his tenure as national security advisor for former prime minister Kamla Persad-Bissessar he was never part of any cover-up into the marijuana find at Persad-Bissessar's Phillipine home.

Griffith said when he was first informed about the marijuana find at the residence he advised that the matter should be reported to the police.

Former national security minister Jack Warner claimed that when the find was made on April 12, 2013, Griffith and former housing minister Dr Roodal Moonilal were both aware of the find and had advised Persad-Bissessar of it.
