Defence Force ready to assist investigators in murder of Corporal Gay

The Trinidad and Tobago Regiment says it’s ready to assist in an investigation into the murder of Corporal Marcus Gay.

In a release issued this morning, the Regiment said investigations are currently being conducted by the Trinidad and Tobago Police Service.

The Regiment is also extending condolences and deepest sympathies to Corporal Gay’s family, friends and colleagues.

The Regiment said around 11 pm they were alerted to an incident involving a shooting in the vicinity of St Mary’s Village.

It said "upon investigations, it was discovered that two servicemen were shot and one subsequently succumbed to his injuries”.

The Regiment says the Acting Commanding Officer, the Chief of Defence Staff, the officers, men and women of the entire Trinidad and Tobago Defence Force are expressing their sympathies.
