EOG Resources has approved a prospective exploration and production schedule for Trinidad and Tobago for the next five years.
The company made the disclosure Prime Minister Dr Keith Rowley has met with a high-level delegation from EOG Resources.
Their plan includes the deployment of a number of wells for both production and further exploration which is based on their analysis of recent state-of-the-art seismic work.
The EOG team was led by William Thomas, Chairman and Chief Executive Officer who was accompanied by Ezra Yacob, Executive Vice President, Exploration and Production, Pat Woods, Vice President and General Manager, International and George Vieira, Managing Director, EOG Resources Trinidad Limited.
Minister of National Security, Communications and Minister in the Office of the Prime Minister, Stuart Young also attended the meeting.
The energy company reaffirmed its commitment to Trinidad and Tobago and said notwithstanding the current competitive global environment they intend to continue investing here.
