The family of a 20-year-old woman is asking for the public's help in locating her after she failed to arrive home last evening.

Family members say Shannon Banfield was last seen leaving her workpace, Republic Bank on Independece Square, aroud 4 pm on Monday.

Banfield later spoke to her mother, Sherryann Lopez, telling her that she was on her way to her home in Cantaro, Santa Cruz.

However, Lopez said she received a strange call later in the night and could have only identified people speaking in a Jamaican accent in the background.

When Banfield failed to arrive home, the family contacted the police.

They are asking anyone with information to call 765-5166, 745-0967 or the nearest police station.
