Felice Chow Single has placed fifth in the quaterfinal of the Women's SIngle Sculls Rowing event in Rio, which earns her a place in semifinals C/D on Wednesday.
However she is out of contention for a medal, as only the top three places in each quartefinal remain in contention for a medal as they move on to semi-finals A/B.
Chow clocked a time of 8.02.53.
Chow was on action in quarter final two, with rowers from Austria, Switzerland, the United States, Sweden and Egypt.
The race was won by Genevra Ston of the USA in a time of 7.27.04.
Jeannine Gmelin of Switzerland was second in7.29.66 while Magdelina Lobnig of Austria was third in a time of 7.35.37.
There are six semi-final races in this event, two of which will take place later today, two on Wednesday and to on Thursday.
This was Chow's third race at the Olympics.
She is representing Trindad and Tobago for the first time.
Dylan Carter will be next in action for T&T in the swimming 100 metre freestyle heats at noon.
