Five arrested during anti-crime exercise in Westmoorings

Five men are arrested and a pistol and quantity of ammunition seized by officers of the Western Division Task Force, during an anti-crime exercise, conducted in the Westmoorings district. 

According to police reports, on August 27th during the exercise, the officers stopped and searched a blue Nissan B15 motor vehicle, with five male occupants, which was proceeding along the Western Main Road.

The search resulted in one Glock 17 pistol, with a selector and one magazine loaded with 11 rounds of 9mm ammunition being discovered in the vehicle. 

The five men, ages 18 to 21, all of Factory Road, Diego Martin, were arrested in connection with the find. 

The exercise was conducted under the supervision of Sgt. Ulric Arneaud.

Investigations are ongoing.
