Five officers attached to the Port of Spain Division have been identified as being part of the gang that robbed a Claxton Bay businessman.
The five other officers have been identified based on information from the SRP who confessed the crime on Friday.
The six are accused of robbing a Chinese businessman of over 400 thousand dollars in cash and valuables.
The officers reportedly robbed the businessman after claiming they were executing a search warrant at the man’s home.
The five other officers have been contacted by senior division personnel and are expected to be questioned today.
The incident was captured on CCTV footage at the businessman's home.
