Flooding affecting supply of water to northern Trinidad

The Water and Sewerage Authority (WASA) is advising customers in North, Central and South Trinidad served by the Caroni Water Treatment Plant, who are currently experiencing low water pressures or in some cases no water that, this is due to reduced production at the plant, caused by flooding at the facility following torrential rainfall on Sunday.

WASA says it is currently engaged in carrying out remedial works, which are scheduled to be completed by 9:00 a.m. on Tuesday March 6, 2018.

North Trinidad served by the Valsayn Booster Station A & B:

Saddle Road, San Juan Febeau Village

Success Village, Laventille Malick

Trou Macque Santa Cruz

North Trinidad served by the El Socorro Booster Station:

Barataria St. Ann’s

Morvant Cascade

East Dry River Dibe, Long Circular

Port-of-Spain St. James

St. Barb’s Cocorite

Gonzales Belmont

Central and South Trinidad:

Chaguanas Jerningham Road

Customers are further advised that it may take between 12 to 18 hours for the service to normalize to some areas in accordance with established water supply schedules.
