Four persons, including a woman, were arrested and a pistol, a revolver and a quantity of ammunition, seized by officers of the Northern Division Task Force, Area Central, during an anti-crime exercise in Arouca, yesterday.
The exercise, supervised by Sgt. Ishmael Pitt and Cpl Ricardo Pamphille and including PCs Colin Williams and Dwight Coombs, was conducted around 2:55 pm, on Tuesday 13th February, 2018.
During the exercise, officers executed a search warrant at Apartment B, Building 8, Oropune Gardens, Piarco home of a 32-year-old man and his 36-year-old common-law wife.
The search resulted in one black Glock 19 pistol, loaded with a magazine containing nine rounds of 9mm ammunition and a silver Amadeo Rossi revolver, loaded with six rounds of .38mm ammunition, being found hidden under a sofa.
Four suspects; the apartment owners, a 35-year-old man and a 25- year-old man, both of Tunapuna, who were found in the apartment at the time of the search, were arrested in connection with the finds.
