Four Point Fortin men are due to appear before a Siparia Magistrate tomorrow, jointly charged with larceny of a quantity of equipment from Petrotrin, Santa Flora.
Bassant Bhola, 64; Anderson Hill, 39, a security officer; Amit Rajkumar, 30; and Creston Sirju, 23, a mechanic, were arrested and charged by Petrotrin Estate Police officers, on August 22nd.
According to police reports a 41-year-old production supervisor, employed with Petrotrin, told the company’s Estate Police officers that he observed a quantity of equipment in an open area at Grand Ravine, Santa Flora, around 2:00 pm, on August 20th.
Upon returning around 5:00 pm, on Wednesday 22nd August 2018, he observed four men loading the equipment valued at $15,000 onto a greet Hiab truck.
Estate Constables were immediately contacted and the four suspects were subsequently detained in connection with the incident.
The accused were charged by Woman Estate Constable Gurda Joseph, of the Petrotrin Police, Santa Flora.
