Gun, ammunition hidden in baby clothing

A pistol and a quantity of ammunition were found wrapped inside baby clothes by officers of the Northern Division Task Force, during an anti-crime exercise yesterday.

The exercise was conducted between 12 pm and 11 pm, on Monday 9th October, 2017, in the Champ Fleurs district, under the supervision of Sgt. Ishmael Pitt.

Acting on information received, officers proceeded to Mt. Hope Road, Champ Fleurs, where they conducted a search of an abandoned lot and discovered the chrome and brown pistol along with 20 rounds of 9mm ammunition, wrapped in blue and pink baby clothing.

No arrests were made in connection with the find.
