One revolver and quantities of ammunition and marijuana were discovered by officers of the Central Division Task Force, during an anti-crime exercise conducted in the Chaguanas district last night.
The exercise, supervised by Snr. Supt. Samuel Seepersad and ASP Richard Smith, was conducted on Tuesday, during which officers based on intelligence gathered proceeded to Vendors’ Mall, Chaguanas Main Road, Chaguanas.
A search of an empty booth resulted in a revolver loaded with three rounds of .38mm ammunition, along with 24 rounds of 9mm ammunition, being discovered in a black knapsack.
Ten packets of marijuana were also found in the booth.
Investigations are ongoing.
