Three men are expected to appear in court today charged with possession of guns and ammunition.

Three men were held and two firearms and a quantity of ammunition seized, by officers of the Princes Town Police Station, during an anticrime exercise, in the district over the weekend WPC Felicia Lall-Maharaj, PC Marcus Browne, PC Kassim Ali and PC Vonrick Samaroo, were on mobile patrol around 10:30am, on Saturday 18th November, 2017, when based on information, they intercepted a silver Mazda motor vehicle, with three male occupants, in Iere Village, Princes Town.
A search of the vehicle resulted in one Smith and Wesson revolver and one Beretta pistol, along with 25 rounds of 9mm ammunition, being discovered.
The three suspects; a 27-year-old gardener and a 28-year-old plant operator both of San Fernando and a 27-year-old man of Corinth, were arrested in connection with the finds.
The men are expected to be charged with possession of firearm and ammunition, and appear before a Princes Town Magistrate today, to answer to the charges.
