Illegal drugs being off-loaded from the Cabo Star vessel have been seized by police and a man has been charged with trafficking.
The discovery was made around 8.30 last evening after the cargo vessel docked at Scarborough in Tobago.
Reports are that a panel van coming off the Cabo Star from Trinidad was searched by police officers of the Scarborough CID and Tobago Task Force.
Officers found a total of 6 kilogrammes of marijuana wrapped in 10 individual packets.
The illegal substance is said to be valued at over $350,000.
A 36-year-old man from Bon Accord Estate was arrested in connection with the find.
He was charged by PC Dates with possession of marijuana for the purpose of trafficking.
The Cabo Star is currently the only vessel operating between both islands at this time, carrying only cargo and vehicles between Trinidad and Tobago.
