Imbert: Gov't has approved 3091 registration cards for Venezuelan migrants so far

The government says it has so far approved three thousand and ninety-one registration cards for Venezuelan migrants who would have registered during the two week amnesty period.

The acting prime minister, Colm Imbert said of the estimated sixteen thousand who registered during that time, five thousand, one hundred and forty-eight applications in total were processed and are awaiting ministerial approval.

Minister Imbert told the parliament that all registrants needed to be verified by Venezuelan law enforcement, local law enforcement and Interpol.
