Khalifa St Fort and Ato Boldon part ways

The hugely successful athlete/coach partnership between T&T Olympian Khalifa St Fort and four-time Olympic medallist Ato Boldon has come to an end.

Boldon confirmed that he and ST Fort had parted ways on Thursday morning, adding that he came to the decision after St Fort approached him recently asking for "time off" from the sport.

Said Boldon, “I wish her well because she took as much of a chance on me as I did on her in 2014, and there was much success along the way, including TTO National Junior and Youth 100m records, and medals at World U-18 and World U-20.”

During the five-year period that the two teamed up for, St Fort, now 21, was able to improve her 100 metres personal best considerably from 11.86 seconds in 2014 to 11.06 seconds in 2017. She also bettered her 200 metres personal best by over one second from 24.42 to 23.31.
