Brian Lara is saying his party was not responsible for disturbing the animals at the Emperor Valley Zoo.
Over the weekend the zoo posted a message on Facebook asking that the authorities contact Mr Lara and tell him that the loud noise emanating from his residence which is close to the zoo's compound was disturbing the animals.
A few minutes later the zoo updated the post saying the music was turned down and it thanked Agriculture Minister Clarance Rambharat for his intervention.
Minister Rambharat said Lara's brother had immediately apologised and turned it down.
But today Brian Lara is saying that the police officers who were contacted said the music at his residence was not the problem but that the loud music was coming from Carifesta festivities which were being held at the Queens Park Savannah.
