One man was arrested and a revolver and a quantity of ammunition seized during an anti-crime exercise by officers of the Carenage Police Station in the Maraval district yesterday.
The exercise, spearheaded by Insp (Ag.) Godfrey Vincent, including officers of the Carenage CID, Four Roads CID, the Western Division Task Force (WDTF) and Court and Process Branch, was conducted between 4 am and 8 am on Thursday.
The officers proceeded to Le Platte Village, Maraval, where they executed a search warrant at the home of a 21-year-old man.
The search resulted in one Colt revolver and six rounds of .38mm ammunition being discovered.
The man was arrested in connection with the finds.
The exercise also included Sgt. Uric Arnead, Sgt. Wayne Brown, Sgt. (Ag.), Owen Roberts and Cpl Nicholas Nurse, of the WDTF.
