The Trinidad and Tobago Meteorological Service (TTMS) says it has received reports indicating that long-period swells continue to affect northern coastlines of Trinidad and Tobago but to a lesser degree.
These swells are forecast to continue affecting particularly northern coastlines for at least the next 72 hours.
It says the general sea state is currently moderate.
The effects of these swells are in the form of large breaking waves along nearshore areas and will be more evident at high tide.
Fisher folk and citizens, particular those residing along coastal areas, are asked to remain alert.
The TTMS says all necessary measures must be taken to preserve life and property.
