The bond gets tighter.
Machel Montano and Bunji Garlin (Ian Alvarez) have teamed up again for another soca song, and this time joining with St Vincent superstar Skinny Fabulous.
The three, who individually are big names in Caribbean soca, have collaborated on a catchy soca tune called 'Famalay' which they released today.
"When we roll we nah roll alone," the song begins, before going on to speak about moving with "famalay lay lay lay lay".
It's a message that reinforces the unity between Montano and Bunji Garlin whose long rift ended last year with a collaboration called "Buss Head".
Since then, Montano and Bunji Garlin have performed together both locally and abroad and have, as Trinis say, 'kept a good thing going'.
'Famalay' was produced DadaMuzic & DSM.
It was composed and written by Gamal “Skinny” Doyle, Machel Montano, Ian Alvarez & Krishna Clyde Lawrence.
Interestingly, the three recorded their parts of the song in different parts of the world - Skinny Fabulous recorded by Wildfire at Rebelmuzik Studio in New York, USA & 4th Dimension St. Vincent & The Grenadines; Machel Montano recorded by Kasey Phillips at Monk Studio in Los Angeles, USA; and Bunji Garlin recorded by Jabari ‘Shawtboss’ Winchester at BadBeagleStudios in Port of Spain, Trinidad and Tobago.
The song was mixed by DadaMuzic.
