A Maloney man will appear before an Arima Magistrate on Tuesday 6th June, 2017, for possession of a firearm and ammunition.
Shaquille Charles, 21, was held during an anti-crime exercise, which took place in the Maloney District from of 12 pm on Saturday 3rd June, 2017 to 12 am on Sunday 4th June, 2017, a police statement said.
Acting on information received, officers of the Maloney Police Station arrested and charged Charles of Building 5, Maloney Gardens, for possession of one black Colt .45 pistol and seven rounds of .45 ammunition.
In a separate incident, officers discovered one black .38 Special revolver and five rounds of .38 ammunition at Building 5, Maloney Gardens.
However, no one was arrested in connection with this find.
The exercise was supervised by W/Sgt. Grant, Sgt. Dedier and included a party of officers from the Maloney Police Station.
