Quick work by police resulted in the arrest of a suspect who this morning allegedly fired several shots at the home of his stepfather, at Bois Bande Village, Sangre Grande.
Police say in a statement that officers under the supervision of Insp. Ken Lutchman of the Sangre Grande Task Force and Crime Patrol Unit, seized a machinegun and a quantity of ammunition from the suspect.
Police were informed by a 50-year-old man of Bois Bande Village, that his 23-year-old step-son came to his home armed with a gun and fired several shots at the house, around 9:30am.
The suspect was held a short distance away from his Farm Road, Ojoe Road, home and one Mac 10 machine gun, along with four rounds of 9mm ammunition, seized.
The man was arrested in connection with the incident and the finds.
