A 34-year-old Belmont man has been charged with sexually touching a 13-year-old girl.

A Belmont man was granted $80,000 bail, after appearing before a Port of Spain Magistrate, charged with two counts of sexual touching against a 13-year-old girl.
The offences are alleged to have taken place during the period, February 1st 2017 and February 28th 2017.
MICHAEL PAUL, 34, of Upper St. Francois Valley Road, Belmont, appeared before Magistrate Adia Mohammed, in the Port of Spain 7th Magistrates’ Court, on Friday 24th November, 2017, to answer to the charges.
The matter was adjourned to Thursday 14th December, 2017.
Bail was granted on the condition that the accused has no form of communication with the victim, whether direct or indirect.
He has also been ordered to not come within 500 meters of the victim. PAUL, was charged by Cpl (Ag.) Yohan Mc Kain, of the Child Protection Unit, on Thursday 23rd November, 2017.
The Port of Spain Child Protection Unit has adopted a zero tolerance approach to child abuse and assaults against children under the supervision of Insp. Clement Marshall and W/Sgts. Jacqueline Solomon-Patrice and Michelle Lewis.
The Unit has also increased lectures in schools and with community groups, to heighten awareness as a proactive approach to reduce crime against children.
