The works and transport ministry is urging caution on the nation’s roads.

The caution comes after reports that a man’s ard was cut off following an accident along the penal rock road today.

54-year-old Liston Aberdeen was driving with his hand outside his vehicle when a truck passed in the lane opposite him.

The truck came into contact with Aberdeen's right arm, severing it from just above the elbow.

Motorists are advised to observe all road and traffic laws in the interest of public safety.
