Met Office cancels Riverine Flood Alert

The Met Office has cancelled the Riverine Flood Alert and has returned the alert level to green.
The Met Office states that water levels in the nation's main river courses are now below threshold values and these rivers are now in a contained state.
It notes that there has been significant improvement over the last 24 hours and says that although some areas are still inundated - El Socorro South, Bamboo No. 1 and parts of the Manzanilla stretch - flood waters in these areas will continue to recede, as no significant rainfall is expected over the next several days.
It is instructing residents to assess their environments for safety concerns.
