Met Office cancels rough seas alert

The Trinidad and Tobago Meteorological Service has cancelled the Hazardous Seas Alert which it issued on Thursday last week.

The Met Office says sea conditions have returned to normal and it has dropped its alert to the Green Level, which means that no immediate action is required.

It says that coastlines around Trinidad and Tobago are no longer being influenced by long period swells.

Tyrico Bay was closed on Sunday as a result of rough seas.

The rough seas also damaged a home in Marabella.
