Met Office discontinues rough seas warning

Tuesday, January 2, 2018 - 08:00

The Trinidad and Tobago Meteorological Service says that buoy data as well as reports reaching them indicate that agitated sea conditions in open waters around Trinidad and Tobago have improved.

A statement by the Met Services says the strong winds that were the primary cause of rough sea conditions have decreased, with a corresponding decrease in wave heights.

The Met Services is discontinuing further statements with regard to this rough seas event.

It says that as a precautionary measure, small craft operation, sea bathers and marine interests should still continue to exercise caution.
