Morvant man in court charged with murder

Ricardo Randell Clarke a 20-year-old technician from Morvant is expected to appear before the Arima Magistrates' Court today charged with the murder of 52-year-old Gregory Adam Singh.

Randell was charged following advice received from Director of Public Prosecutions Roger Gaspard, on September 25th.

According to police reports  Mr. Singh, a playwright and video producer, of Mohan Avenue, Arouca, was found dead by relatives, at his home on September 11th.

The cause of death was later determined to be ligature strangulation. 

Clarke was arrested at his home by officers attached to the Homicide Bureau of Investigations (HBI) Region 2, on Thursday 20th September, 2018.

Investigations were supervised by ASP (Ag.) Sean Dhilpaul, Sgt. Anil Maharaj, Sgt. Sydney Job and Sgt. Mitra Ramsumair, while charges were laid by WPC Karla Timothy, all of the HBI Region 2.
