The Trinidad and Tobago Prison Service is also thanking members of the public for their keen observation and says that heightened security mechanisms are in place in all stations to monitor and minimise the reoccurrence of such incidents.

The statement adds that a comprehensive investigation has been launched to ascertain the details of the escape of prisoner Chester Williams, who is expected to be charged with ‘attempting to escape legal custody”.
