Petrotrin workers have returned to work following yesterday's settlement with the management of the state-owned company.
The two parties agreed to a 5 percent settlement and the negotiations are to be concluded by the end of February.
Dozens of workers gathered outside Petrotrin's Pointe-a-Pierre compound this morning where they were addressed by union officials.
The workers then prayed and sang before proceeding to work.
The representing Oilfield Workers Trade Union had threatened to lead a strike beginning yesterday.
However, discussions facilitated by the Ministry of Labour, paved a way for an agreement that called off the strike.
