The Piarco International Airport has placed second for Best Airport Staff in Central America, and first among airports in the Caribbean.
This award recognises the quality of staff service, attitude, friendliness and efficiency delivered across front-line positions at an airport including staff working for customer service, Immigration and Security staff, shops, food & beverage outlets.
The Piarco International Airport also placed fourth in the category of best Airports in the Central America and the Caribbean.
The airport's placements this year represent an improvement from results in 2016, where it moved from 4th place for best Airport Staff and from 5th place for best Airport in Central America and the Caribbean.
Skytrax World Airport Awards are the most prestigious accolades for the airport industry voted by customers in the largest, annual global airport customer satisfaction survey.
The 2017 Awards are based on 13.82 million airport survey questionnaires completed by 105 different nationalities of airline customers during the survey period.
